Chippendale side chair c.1760

With  richly  shaped cabriolet  legs, carved with flowing acanthus leaf  decoration and with a back fretted and carved  exactly to one of Thomas Chippendale's iconic design. Featuring a drop in upholstered seat, all parts are jointed  together and made in English Box-wood

East Anglian Pawn Broker

 

East Anglian Sheraton style Armchair or "Pawn-broker" c.1830

A subtly curved wooden seat raised on turned front legs that support a shaped, molded arm. The back is decorated with three turnings (hence  the name, prawn-broker) contained between the tye bars. All the parts are jointed together and made from Cherry wood.
